Terms of use and code of conduct

"Reader" is a free app in which actors find a partner to rehearse a scene with. Using the app means agreeing to these terms.

Who can use it

The app is for people aged 18 and over only.

Each person holds one account, with true details about themselves.

Code of conduct

Treat every person with respect. Harassment, threats, unwanted sexual advances and offensive content are forbidden.

The app is for rehearsals only. It is not a dating app and not a place to sell services.

Show up to a rehearsal that was set, or cancel ahead. Missing two rehearsals puts a mark on the profile.

Do not ask for or offer payment for a rehearsal.

Meeting in person

Meeting in person is the responsibility of the participants alone. We do not verify the identity or the background of users.

Meet in a public place or a studio, and tell someone close where you are going and with whom.

Scripts and content

Attach only a script that you are allowed to share for rehearsal. Responsibility for rights in the content lies with whoever attached it.

A script is visible only to the two participants of the rehearsal, and is deleted 48 hours after it.

Reporting, blocking and removal

You can block any user and report them from their profile. Reports are reviewed by the operator of the app.

Whoever breaks the rules may be removed from the app, without notice.

Responsibility

The app is provided as is, free of charge. We are not a party to the rehearsal itself and are not responsible for the behavior of users, the quality of a rehearsal or the result of an audition.

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of the page shows when.
